I used this a few days ago in my class to discuss base 10 blocks and place value. I listed a clue (ex: 3 tens and 5 ones), and the students had to draw the base ten blocks then write the number it represented. This is a great way to practice renaming numbers and using base ten blocks in the classroom.

Colonial Times
Sorry it's been awhile since I updated my blog. I'm still trying to figure out Teachers Pay Teachers, make new things for the classroom, and how to add pictures of my creations onto my website! Anyways, here is one of the most recent things I have created for my students to use. We are currently studying how life was like during colonial times, and we are beginning to compare it to how life is today. We have been working on this concept for a few days, and I created three graphic organizers to go along with our investigation. We took one day to complete each page, and we used a variety of texts, videos, and websites to learn the information needed to complete the colonial times organizer. Hope you find this helpful. If you use it, please leave a comment!
